The 3-3-3 Rule – A New Beginning
Four extraordinary cats—the Asian Leopard Cat, the African Serval, the Bengal, and the Savannah—had just arrived at their new forever home. Although they were all excited, they each felt a little unsure about their new surroundings.
Their new family welcomed them with love, a quiet room, soft beds, fresh water, food, toys, and a clean litter tray. They knew that every cat settles in at its own pace.
The First 3 Days – Time to Decompress
The first few days felt strange. The cats explored slowly and carefully.
The Asian Leopard Cat found a cosy hiding place where it felt safe.
The African Serval quietly watched everything from a high shelf, listening to every sound.
The Bengal sniffed every corner of the room but stayed close to its bed.
The Savannah calmly observed its new family, learning that they meant no harm.
Their owners didn't rush them. They spoke softly, provided fresh food and water, and allowed the cats to come out when they felt ready.
By the end of the third day, the cats were beginning to feel a little more relaxed.
After 3 Weeks – Learning the Routine
As the weeks passed, the four friends became much more confident.
The Bengal chased feather toys around the house.
The Serval jumped onto climbing shelves and explored every platform.
The Savannah followed its owners from room to room, enjoying their company.
Even the shy Asian Leopard Cat came out to play and accepted gentle strokes.
The cats learned when breakfast was served, where their favourite sleeping spots were, and when it was time to play. They began to trust their new family.
After 3 Months – Home at Last
Three months later, the house truly felt like home.
The four friends were relaxed and happy. They greeted their family at the door, purred during cuddle time, and confidently explored every room.
They had formed strong bonds with one another and with the people who cared for them.
The owners smiled as they watched the cats sleeping peacefully together.
"It feels like you've always been part of our family," they said.
The Savannah looked at its friends and purred.
"We're finally home."
The other three cats purred in agreement.
The Lesson
The 3-3-3 Rule reminds us that every cat needs time to adjust to a new home.

The first 3 weeks are for learning routines and building trust.
The first 3 months are when many cats begin to feel completely at home.
